V-Tech VT-232 Eco Nails Construction Adhesive Sealant - 350g
VT-232 is a one-component, low-VOC (compliant with SCAQMD rule #1168), paste-like construction adhesive formulated to bond a variety of common construction materials. It is compliant with the Singapore Green Building Product Labelling Scheme (SGBPLS). It has a strong initial grab, superior adhesion, and will not slump on vertical surfaces. It suits heavy-duty general construction, remodeling, maintenance, and repair projects.

Application:
Ideal for bonding of skirting boards of wood and PVC, particleboard, masonry, aluminum, galvanized iron, steel, concrete, fibrous cement sheeting, wall brick, concrete and floor panels. It is recommended for bonding pedestals of raised access floors to cement floor screed, whereby the adhesion in this application is shown excellent in CISCA 2007- Section 6: Pedestal Overturning Moment Test.
How to Use:
- Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, oil or water.
- For a neat finish, apply masking tape and remove it before construction adhesive skins over
- Cut tip off and puncture the internal foil seal with nozzle. Cut nozzle at 45° angle to desired bead-width and apply to substrate with cartridge gun.
- Two-way contact (Lighter substrate bonding): Apply adhesive onto substrate to be bonded, press firmly, and pull apart. Allow to tack-off for 10 to 30 seconds and press firmly together again. Contact areas should be tapped with a rubber mallet to ensure intimate contact
- One-way method (Heavier substrate bonding): Apply adhesive onto substrate to be bonded, press firmly, and securely fasten them together (clamp, nail, screw, etc.). Retain fastening for a minimum of 24 hours.
- Any wet or partially wet adhesive can be removed with a piece of cloth. Dried adhesive is best removed with scraper or by sanding
- For raised floor pedestal: Apply adhesive of 2 - 4 mm thickness to the pedestal base with a scraper. Place the pedestal onto floor with a twisting motion. Adhesive oozed out from pedestal should not exceed 5mm. Do not reposition the pedestal after adhesive is applied for >15 minutes. Two-way contact application method can be used to shorten curing time.
